Excellent Mexican fare. Kudos to the chef. Authentic and scrumptious! Carnitas tacos were exceptional. Knowledgeable and friendly waitress. Beer suggestion was delightful.

Tacos are great. Really surprised this restaurant is in town as I was visiting family. Will definitely go again when back in town.

It's worth the drive to Angels Camp for some of the best Mexican Food you'll ever enjoy.

Fantastic! Great Mexican food, everything we have tried has been tasty, authentic, and beautifully prepared. My favorite are the street tacos - asada, carnitas, pastor, and chorizo. They make their own hot sauces. Six beers on tap, plus a wide selection of bottled beer. Best thing to come to Angels Camp in a long time!

Service was a bit on the slow side with only one waitress on duty for the entire lunch crowd.I would be giving a much lower rating based upon that fact alone, however she was very apologetic and remained focused and friendly throughout.The food was really quite great and well presented. The creamy mashed potatoes were absolutely awesome. If the staff could get some extra help, this place would rock.Would still recommend

While the food was good the restaurant seemed to pinch pennies. Four of us were dining and when the chips were brought I requested hot salsa for which I was charged. Having eaten in many Mexican restaurants in the US and Mexico I can say that neither of the salsas were Mexican. There were no beer prices on the menu but my companion ordered a Corona draft and we were charged $8 for a 12 oz glass. Too many very good restaurants with reasonable pricing to return here.

Best Mexician restaurant anywhere! Very authentic food with GREAT salsa. You have to have the fried avocado. The staff is wonderful. Right now it is only take-out.

I frequent this outstanding restaurant from time to time since I like the ambiance that is unique to this place. The team is extraordianrillyremarkably cordial and skilfull. The service is extraordinarily quick. Also, the food you eat is perfect. I have been there often and I was always delighted. The rate is honest. I suggest this restaurant to to all.

Very Smoky salsa which was sooo tasty. Loved the character of this place.... Decor was quaint, food was delicious and service was fast. The shrimp I ordered was very soft but flavorful. Highly recommend trying this place

Nachos & beer were amazing

Vary nice place to eat, sit and visit. The food was OMG GOOD!! Everything is fresh and home made, I think their Grandma was cooking in the back, lol. All the food is made fresh, no canned stuff. I would suggest everyone to stop in and get a bite to eat. We traveled 3 1/2 hours to get there and in was well worth it.

Their food is awesome everything is made fresh. None of the foods come from a can everything is whole fresh food. We have been in this area for about seven years now and we have not found a good restaurant for Mexican food until now. I suggest you try it if you want really good food. The restaurants clean the service is great. Their salsa is made out of fresh roasted peppers and tomatoes. It just doesn't have any heat to the salsa,, but it is fantastic ! The first time I had a steak enchilada with the green sauce there are no seeds in the green sauce. And the steak was the most tender steak I've ever eaten. So when you go enjoy your food it is fantastic

Went here with my family. The kids absolutely loved the food. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very nice. Will definitely come back.

Service was good. There wasn't much to offer but that was only because they planned for electrical outages and dumped everything and then there weren't any outages and there were customers like myself, LOL. I will say I liked their smokey roasted salsa!

Great food and great service!Come here and order their fries - best fries I have had in a while :)Their burgers and pub food are excellently done. I also enjoyed the smokey and sweet salsa that came with their complementary tortilla chips. The service was prompt and friendly. Five stars!

Staff not wearing masks during a pandemic, they clearly don't care enough about public health so I can't imagine what their kitchen looks like?

This place was awesome! The burgers were great and the sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had.

This is some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten from a restaurant. Chile rellenos were superb. And the cheesie mashed potatoes where a unique touch. So glad I found it plan to eat here many more times

Very decent Mexican dishes with a good variety of choices. Basic seating and decor, though there appears to be a downstairs as well.

I'm not sure of our servers name, but I was trying to tell her that we'd been recommended to try the restaurant (we're visiting from SoCal), before I could finish my sentence she cut me off saying they dont offer discounts...I honestly was super offended. If she'd held her tongue, she'd know I wasnt asking for a discount. There are numerous other complaints, but I'm most concerned with the customer service. I still left a 20% tip, but not because she deserved it. I would not recommend this restaurant.Edit:Spoke with the owner Pablo. He was very courteous and offered a free appetizer to make up for our first experience. Changed rating from 2 to 4.

My dish was disappointing. Carne asada was bland and not seasoned. Others enjoyed their tacos and the guacamole was fresh. Will give them another shot at some point.

This place is awesome, food, staff Shayna and Jesse were at the top of their game. Cozy hole in the wall here in Angels Camp California. We shared the Molcajete for two, mmm!

New favorite found. Definitely get the 3 salsa combo dish, the fish tacos are yummy, and the portions are nicely sized. It's a small restaurant, like 10 tables. Service and food are excellent.

Really nice old town atmosphere. The special of the day was an amazing chicken sandwich. We will go back.

I had the Huarache with carnitas in salsa Verde. It was so good. The different flavors and textures combined perfectly.

My wife, father, and I all ate here and loved the flavor and atmosphere but unfortunately as we speak currently have Food Poisoning and are contemplating going to the Hospital.

LOVED! From the amazing carved stones wall, to the amazing basement old time stories, the easy feeling of welcoming from Shayna, the delicious hand made food from Maria. It was memorable. Prices are excellent. I can't wait to stop by again someday. O totally recommend the Chile Rellenos

This restaurant has friendly and creative vibe. The service is good and the food is delicious! I had a great time, the only critique is that our food came out 1min after our appetizer and they charged us a whole $1 for an extra small side of sour cream after they said it was all good. The plates and cups had beautiful designs on them too!
